I’m trying to implement a method to get the latest block number and its timestamp. what is the best way to do this?

Thank you for your interest in Samsung Blockchain Platform (SBP) SDK.
Getting latest block number and its timestamp is currently not supported, on the latest version of SBP SDK. You can try out web3j for finding out block info on ethereum platform, to learn more check out this Stack Overflow thread.
