Is there a way to make gradient customizable as a preset theme color?

I want to create a customizable color gradient that the user can customize by long pressing on the watch face. But in WFS, I can only set a static solid color.

Gradient Themes is a current feature request.
In the meantime a work around is
For your background have a tap action and use it to change image
Doing that I was able to set 3 various gradients from WFS
Then I was able to use 4 Themes with solid colors
So the end user can tap to select a gradient then do the long press to customize and this resulted in 12 different gradient backgrounds. (not some were pretty ugly)
