I am trying to do a Kcal Chrongraph. In which a needle rotates 0 to 360. Showing according to he to the Step Goal percentage as per user selection made .
Can some one please
1 share a text tag formula for showing Kcals as Text (As per selection of Steps Count Target Selected By User ).
And a text tag for rotation of the chronograph needle from 0 to 360 based on Step Count Percentage.
I would really appreciate some help in this regards. Many Thanks in Advance.
Just read a Discussion between peter and gmpanh in gmpanh’s thread for Progress Bar for Kcal in the forum
Peter said if the kcal count is derived from step count then the progress bar lets say for eaxmple 10,000 steps = 480 Kcal and the rotation of steps needle and Kcals will be same.
I used [SC_PER]*3.6 for 360 rotation of steps count needle . I have tried same for kcal bar chronograph needle as well.it gives 480kcals for 10,000 steps.
Will it wok fine for steps target above 10000 as well?. Will run on watch & see how it does.
Estimating Calories from steps can be wildly incorrect. For example, if I take zero steps in a day, a simple scaling says I would have burnt 0 kCal. In fact, I would have burnt about 1,600 kCal, even if I just stayed in bed all day.
kCal data really should be obtained using a complication. Unfortunately, WFS severely limits how complications can be presented. WFF is much more flexible, but isn’t WYSIWYG.
Any formula for kCal we would provide here, would only give approximate result for average of averages, because it can not take in account all the input data as the s-health does (for example size and weight of the person). Also we do not know the exact calculation s-health does and have to pick some particular method, which may or may not be close to that.
Another thing is, whether the formula has to show only the energy used for walking (then the movement of the needle would copy the movement of the steps needle), or does it have to show even all energy the body used for being alive (then that is also depending on the additional data I mentioned above).
Thats what i have been thinking for an while about and haven’t used Kcal chronoraph in my watchfaces uptil now.
Because the formula is an approximation and Samsung health provides more accurate data think i ll remove kcal chronograph from design and Make a Day Date Month Block in Rotation Text style inside this chrono bacground
