The layout of GWS 2.0.1 just doesn’t make a professional impression.
The text size does not match the layout.
I didn’t have this problem with the old GearWatchDesigner.
Would be nice if a programmer could take the time to correct this bug.

I hate to be the bringer of bad news.
Warning. Do Not Use 2.0.1 unless you absolutely need to, for example you are on a Mac Big Sur or newer. It has more headaches than it solves. I’d roll back to the GWS 2.0.0 version. But it probably will have the same layout issues.

Requirements says

  • 1280x1024 resolution display (higher resolution recommended)

I don’t think anyone has ever reported this but certainly 3830 x 2160 is extreme and was probably never tested.

As far as an Update. I do not expect that there will be one. They haven’t fixed the critical bug in the update in over a year.

Finally if you think it will be useful for Tizen 5 it won’t. I’m not sure it will even build it. GWS does not have any functionality for Tizen 5.5 specific devices so building for Tizen 4 is all you need to do and that works on all Samsung Watches from Gear Sport/S3 on up.

Hi Ron, thanks for the info. Where can I find the installer for GWS_2.0.0? Is this version still available for download somewhere?

It is on the same download page. Below the Download box is a little expansion arrow and says See Previous Versions
That is where you download older versions.

I do not understand how 2.0.1 version works… I have made an AOD mode, but after opening the watch face project file, after I have closed it, the program informed me, that I do not have the AOD mode yet…
Then… I have uploaded the watch face into the Galaxy store with Tizen 3,4 and 5 versions, but watch face oners of Galaxy watch 4 still do not see my watch faces… So How can I fix it?

It doesn’t work it is a nasty bug that they introduced in the GWS 2.0.1 and never was fixed. Unless you need this (A Mac Computer or to fix one of the minor issues) Roll back to GWS 2.0.0 on the same download page click below the 2.0.1 download where it say See Previous Versions. If you are on a Mac I can tell you how to install the 2.0.0 version on that as well.

You only need Tizen 4 version for Gear S3, Sport, Galaxy Watch, Active2 and Galaxy Watch3. They all run Tizen 4 or newer. There is no features in GWS that uses Tizen 5.x so no use in building for it.

Galaxy Watch4 is Wear OS and only available from Galaxy Store in China (they do not allow Google apps including Play Store in China). So you need to get Watch Face Studio and sell in Play Store for Galaxy Watch4 devices and all the other newer Wear OS 3 watches.
