Nomadic MNML watchface

Wanted to show my first watchface creation here. I found this stunning watchface Nomadic MNML in the store. However, it is very limited in terms of customization. That’s when I tried watchface studio and upgrades the design myself.

I’ve added a gyroscopic background, but also added option to have a static one. With the latest oneui8 update, this runs butter smooth. I’ve used mask pretty all over the watchface, so I can change many items in different ways. I’ve also added 4 hidden complications. These are in the 4 corners of the watchface. I wanted to keep the watchface minimal. That’s why I’ve chosen not to add a background.

I still want to test if I can make method of adding an analog and digital option to choose. Howeverz I don’t think it’s possible then to change the color. Because then we have merged items in couple layers. Not sure how these would be then exposed when custom the watchface.

Here are some previews. Sadly I can’t upload videos. It’s nice seeing the background react to movement

You may try with theme color.

Hello You can add the option of digital or analog time following the attached example

True, but I have setup my design, so each prop can be set a color independent of other props. I’ve used masking for that

Thanks for making a showcase. I’ll will test your suggestions and see what setup you made.

My setup however doesn’t use theme for coloring, as I wanted the props to be able to be colored indepently from each other. I’ve used masking for that. But when I add another color setup for that for the analog clock. I think it will add 2 color tabs, even when the digital is not showing. I’ve not tested this because it’s a lot of work to get working

@romboutv

Hi, do you change the color via a menu or by tapping on where you want to change the color?

Hi, see if the solutions in the video can help you. Attached is how the WFS file is set up.

From the edit menu, ive made tabs for each part which can be editted aside of the theme color. ive also set premade, which works a bit weird and wont show always or when your doing development. Tends to “disappear” now and then

Example of Premade setups

Example of setting complications colors outside of theme colors

Ow, thats looks funky!

The dials and digits react to button presses

Issue seems, we use mask on an analog clock. I thought i had that working, actually. I tried it again using your example. But mask, keeps being grayed out, no matter what i try.

I guess the workaround would be, adding the hour and second hand pre-colored and using that as a style. But this will break the option to choose between digital and analog. Since they both use 1 transparent image to hide themselves when one or the other is chosen. I guess there is no workaround, only to use theme color for hands of an analog clock

I wonder though if that option tab will keep showing, even when we select the digital clock

Hi yes, it’s correct I did it specifically to give the possibility of choosing different colors separately and not through the pre-colors menu

Can you send me a copy (even via email) of the WFS so I can see how it’s structured, so I can possibly add other color options?

Its not possible to make an analog clock change color using masos. It doesn’t seem to work. Maak option only see able on digital cluster cos. Wonder why that is
