The backgrounds are fairly static. Use images instead. There is a whole section on coding in that tutorial, though not very extensive.
I think what you have to remember here is that I’m not a developer. I’m ‘borrowing’ help and useful info where I can to make some creative watch faces, but I’ve no idea what to do to get them coded to work as they should.
I need some one-on-one time with someone who knows what they’re doing with this, to understand what gets coded, how it relates to the functionality of the watch, etc. For example, I have an idea of what to make for a watch face, but I have utterly NO idea of how to accomplish it. I’d love to do it myself, but I’m not a programmer/coder, and what I’ve tried so far has gotten me nowhere.
Obviously what I have in mind isn’t translating too well to others here, as I’m having all this rudimentary stuff suggested which tells me a bit about how the watch’s brain works, but I’ve no idea on how to manipulate it.
As I’ve said, I’ve tried looking up some visual references to how these watch faces are made, and there’s surprisingly not a lot to dig up. Unless someone wants to share how they do this kind of stuff, I’m left in the dark. I can’t get this watch face made without more practical help.
Like everyone else, I’m afraid you have to learn it the hard way. Start with a simple tutorial and watchface and work your way up from there. I wish you good luck with that - I’m afraid I don’t have the time to completely train other ppl. A post in this forum is the best I can do.
Do not give up, give it a time. I am no developer either, I just started reading and learning earlier (from the rudimentary stuff). So if you ask specific question, I gladly give specific answer if I can, or point you where I would search for the info (which I already tried).
This pops up as a warning every time unless you click the do not show again. Basically it says if you want to add weather at some later time you need to remove those.
