Remote Test Lab: Input Lag, Devices not Conencting, Slow Internet

I hope this message finds you well.

We have recently encountered a series of persistent issues across several Remote Test Lab (RTL) servers, severely hampering our ability to perform consistent and effective device testing. Below, I have outlined the specific problems by server location for your review and urgent attention:

:united_states: USA Server – No Internet Access & Wi-Fi Configuration Issues

  • The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 devices are currently unable to connect to any Wi-Fi network. Attempting to reset Wi-Fi only brings up a popup message stating: “SSID not configured.”
  • The Galaxy S20 and S20+ devices appear configured to connect to the “gatelabrtl11” SSID, yet consistently fail to do so. As a result, these devices are effectively unusable.

:south_korea: Korea Server – Severe Device Lag

  • Nearly all Galaxy S series and Galaxy Tab devices suffer from extreme input lag and sluggish transitions. Many devices take minutes to respond to even basic taps.
  • This has not always been the case, and our local internet connection is stable and performant. We’ve relied on the Korea server for years with no such issues before, so we suspect the problem is on the server end. Kindly investigate the growing latency.

:russia: Russia & :poland: Poland Servers – Unusable Download Speeds

  • While lag is not a major concern on these servers, the internet speeds are critically slow. Downloading even a 7 MB apk file takes 40 minutes, making it practically impossible to perform timely testing.
  • We have repeatedly abandoned test sessions due to these delays. We hope these networks can be restored to their previous performance levels.

:united_kingdom: UK Server – Device Pool Completely Missing

  • All devices previously available on the UK server have disappeared entirely.
  • This has halted operations for our European testing team, especially as alternative servers (Russia, Poland) are currently compromised by internet issues.
  • The UK server was a critical resource due to its diverse and extensive device selection. We kindly urge you to restore all previously available models.

:globe_showing_americas: Brazil & India Servers – Unstable Availability

  • Devices on both servers sporadically disappear and reappear, making them unreliable for scheduled testing sessions. A more consistent availability is essential for planning.

We understand that managing a global test infrastructure is a complex task, and we appreciate your continued support. However, the current state of the platform is severely affecting our productivity and testing pipeline. We kindly request your immediate attention to these issues and look forward to your timely resolution.

Please let us know if any further information is needed from our side.

Warm regards
