Remote Test Lab, Service is so broken total disaster

There is a recurring lag issue with the devices of the Remote Test Lab. Irrespective of your connection speed (1 Gbps in my case, USA), several devices are just unusable due to the input lag.

As of 09/03/2025 at 1:12 am GMT:

  • On the USA farm, ALL Galaxy Tab devices are unusable due to this issue. Response to input (mouse clicks, typing) can take up to 3 minutes for a single click.
  • Galaxy S devices (still on the USA farm and some on the UK farm) are also affected as well, from the S25 through to the S23, all devices provide a painful experience. Albeit not as bad as the Galaxy Tab issues, the lag on the Galaxy S devices on the USA farm makes the devices almost unusable.
  • Yet to test the Galaxy Flip and Fold devices (USA server), but it is same to assume that at least some devices have this lag issue.

Hoping for a fix to this issue. It has been recurring for several months now, and it doesn’t look like a permanent fix is planned.

What are you testing, if you can provide more detail we may be able to offer suggestions.

A general purpose app and a mobile (obviously) video game. Can’t even get to the point of testing it. As soon as the device comes up, it is so laggy. It takes forever to start chrome or any other app on the device, talk less of downloading the app to be tested before getting to run it
