Samsung Certificate Manager Update

A message from the Samsung Smart TV team.

Dear Developers,

We would like to inform you that the certificate issuance server of the Samsung Certificate Manager has been replaced.

To continue issuing certificates, you must update your Samsung Certificate Manager to version 2.0.74 or higher.

Please ensure your Tizen Studio is updated to the latest version to avoid any disruptions in certificate issuance.

Update Instructions

1. Verify you have the latest version of the Certificate Manager.

   

   If the Certificate Manager was not updated automatically, update it manually:

   Open Package Manager in Tizen Studio and update the Certificate Manager package to the latest version (2.0.74 or higher).

2. Manage existing certificates.

   • If you have existing certificates, back them up first.

   • After verifying you have the latest version of the Certificate Manager, create a new Profile.

   • Use the existing certificate for the Author role and generate a new one for the Distributor role.

3. For devices running Tizen 4.0 or lower, the following additional steps are required:

   To allow installing your applications on the device, launch the Tizen Studio Device Manager, right-click a folder in the connected device file system, and select “Permit to install applications.”

Hi @konni,

It’s my first try to issue a certificate and I’m using a fresh installation of Tizen Studio version 6.1 for Windows.

I’ve checked that it’s installed the Samsung Certificate Extension version 2.0.74 release yesterday and updated it though the Tizen Package Manager, I’m getting the following error:

Could you help me to figure out how to fix this error?

While creating certificate select device type TV and check again. Let us know your findings.

Yeah for TV it worked, but I’m trying to install apps on my Gear S3 Frontier… Unfortunatelly the TV certificate won’t work for Mobile/Wearable Apps…
