The app is not available for any of your devices

Hi all,

So my watch face just went live today:

But it appears no one can download it.
I’ve done some quick searching through the forums and this issue appears to have been around for a long time?

Just to confirm - will this warning go away after a few days? If not, what should I investigate to get this going?

The watch face was made with WFS, with min API 30+, no companion app. Works great on my PW3.

Any advice would be amazing, as this is my first time publishing! Thank you so much.

Could be that in the Play Console, when you set up this app, you didn’t select the “Wear OS form factor.”

In Console you select advanced settings/ form factors/ Wear OS

Just a thought… I presume all your watch faces have been updated to the API 30+/SDK 33 requirements that all watch faces had to be updated to by November 1 which can only be done in WFS 1.6.10 or higher (or Android Developer of course)? Also, did you “add form factor/Wear OS” in advanced settings in Play Console

Jesus, guys, it’s not an easy life for you who are selling watchfaces.

I’m reading here about all problems you have, it looks like Google is doing everything to make things complicated.
I cannot understand what’s the point? It should be easy, Google is making money on your sales.

Just like Facer, it is over-saturated with no one bringing anything really new and interesting to the table. We are all really just making the same old watch faces. I seriously wonder if Google is just happy with the tried-and-true makers that have been around for a while (just like Facer) and the rest of us can just slowly die on the vine due to unwittingly doing something to get our accounts terminated or simply through sheer frustration, just quit. All they do is pile on policy changes and updates for us to sort through and not do anything to lift a finger to fix some of the issues with installation, downloading, let alone finding our faces. Oh well, too bad for all of them I still really love making watch faces.

I think you are right and I’m very confused by that policy.

I’m seeing the same watchfaces inside Google store for years. Nothing new (or rarely new) is added and when I search for watchfaces I always get the same results.
I was always wondering why.

@DeadMachine . I get this . But get no further .
.

Yeah, I’m definitely going to focus on faces that are weird and I haven’t seen done much or at all, and have a few prototypes in the work that fit this bill! Watch this space 🩷

Yeah it’s sad we have to rely on Reddit posts and stuff to find new faces

Yeah, now that it’s working you have to press “see details” below this screenshot to see the watch face. Which is so mental to me, considering Google knows it’s a watch face, but tries to primarily treat it as an incompatible phone app for not having an app companion. Bafflingly dumb :smiling_face_with_tear:

OK . I did not see the Details option as I was looking on my Laptop .

True. That’ why I started my own sub where I kind of collect interesting and creative WearOS watchfaces. They are so hard to find.

Try this: Go to Production and check if there is an old app. If so, delete the old app bundle, if possible.

I’m a member, thanks for running that!
