Hello guys,

I’m interested in Samsung fold/flip devices. So I have some questions about it:

  1. Does Galaxy Theme Studio have a setting for Samsung fold/flip devices?
  2. Do I need to upgrade my old theme for Samsung fold/flip?
  3. How can I test what my theme looks like in the Samsung fold/flip? I can’t use Remote test lab cause it’s too lag.
  4. Can I submit a theme for Samsung fold or flip only?

  1. No, you just need to make sure your design fits the Fold’s wide inner screen size and thin outside screen size. And the Flip is narrow too, but not as narrow as the outside Fold screen. You can find screen sizes easily on the web.

  2. For your theme to work on the Fold and Flip it needs to be Android 12. And I don’t think Samsung adds those phones to the binary list automatically so Samsung will test your theme on a Fold device if you have Fold selected in the Binary list.

  3. There is no other way to test that I know of. Most designers exclude the Fold from their binary list when submitting because there have been too many rejections from firmware and app problems.

  4. Yes, just unselect all phone models in the binary list and check the fold and flip models only.
