Cheers both. I had read that thread too.
The only difference I can think is that the GW6 is updated to WearOs 5 as the Fossil still connects via its existing pairing despite both port numbers changing every time Wifi Debugging is enabled.
I know my fossil works with this version though and can’t be doing with the faf. If it works in older and not current it is their bug and I don’t want to use the older one so I’ll call it broken.
I am suspecting it might be the wifi network though as I have no control over it and I don’t currently have hotspots I can use without breaking other stuff I use so tests are pointless there as I still can’t use it even if test successful.
My reasoning is that aside from WearOS version 4 on Fossil I noticed that though the wifi ports were always in the same range the pairing port on the Fossil was always 1 digit lower so may have not been blocked by some nonsense on the router.
Hopefully getting a sim for a portable hotspot in a week or so. Will retest then.
Has anyone been able to solve this? I have WFS 1.7.13 and Gw6 running WOS40. I was able to successfully pair once and install a watch face. But now I am trying again and it is impossible. It would seem very straightforward process, but save restarting my Wifi, I cannot get it to Pair. Any help tips, hacks would be most welcome
I have tried EVERYTHING. Turn off bluetooth, turn off auto wifi, pair with phone as hot spot, run ADB through desktop. Been having problems for over a year. Once in a blue moon I get a watch face to load but so rare. I have over 200 watch faces that I want to put in Play store but I am stuck!!
So I was able to find a way to make this work. Every time I wanted to pair, I toggled Wireless Developer Options Off and then Back on. So that seemed to work.
