Unable to pair GW6 with WFS 1.7.13

I previously had my Fossil Gen 6 paired after the usual first time faff and it would pair fine after telling me it failed.

I now have a GW6 and have tried everything.
I’ve followed the instructions, I’ve restarted both PC and watch. I’ve tried disabling BT on the watch.

I’ve also tried putting the network port in both and the pairing port in both.

I have no idea what I could possibly try next, and no, standing on one leg with baubles in my beard didn’t help either.

Hi have u tried older version of wfs ? 1.6.9?
If 1.6.9 it could be a bug. If 1.6.9 also doesnt work. Then something u doing wrong

Because it has been tested at successful with 1.6.9 by people in this forum

@Bodestone Is your GW6 updated to WOS5 ( OneUI6 ) . It is being rolled out Arround the Planet there might be some crossover somewhere .

Cheers both. I had read that thread too.
The only difference I can think is that the GW6 is updated to WearOs 5 as the Fossil still connects via its existing pairing despite both port numbers changing every time Wifi Debugging is enabled.

Yeah . The port number is for the watch I guess . Although my GW4 and GW4 use the same port number .

I know my fossil works with this version though and can’t be doing with the faf. If it works in older and not current it is their bug and I don’t want to use the older one so I’ll call it broken.

I am suspecting it might be the wifi network though as I have no control over it and I don’t currently have hotspots I can use without breaking other stuff I use so tests are pointless there as I still can’t use it even if test successful.
My reasoning is that aside from WearOS version 4 on Fossil I noticed that though the wifi ports were always in the same range the pairing port on the Fossil was always 1 digit lower so may have not been blocked by some nonsense on the router.

Hopefully getting a sim for a portable hotspot in a week or so. Will retest then.

Some has tried using their handphone as the hotspot. Anyway are u on a single router or mesh?

Has anyone been able to solve this? I have WFS 1.7.13 and Gw6 running WOS40. I was able to successfully pair once and install a watch face. But now I am trying again and it is impossible. It would seem very straightforward process, but save restarting my Wifi, I cannot get it to Pair. Any help tips, hacks would be most welcome

Check your IP port address has not changed . I am surprised you are on WOS4 .

I guess I should upgrade. I was able to pair from Command Line in Terminal

Oh I have never done that .

I have tried EVERYTHING. Turn off bluetooth, turn off auto wifi, pair with phone as hot spot, run ADB through desktop. Been having problems for over a year. Once in a blue moon I get a watch face to load but so rare. I have over 200 watch faces that I want to put in Play store but I am stuck!!

Unlucky one? Or poor network.

So I was able to find a way to make this work. Every time I wanted to pair, I toggled Wireless Developer Options Off and then Back on. So that seemed to work.
