Watch face rejected app uses BODY_SENSORS permission

Your app uses the android.permission.BODY_SENSORS permission and must meet Health apps policy requirements. If you don’t have any health features in your app, remove this permission from your app’s manifest.

Can any one face this issue ? What should i do ?

East fix. In App Content/Health Declaration just select the first one “health and fitness” if your watch face has anything like heart rate or step counter.

Already did same fixed violation but after month when I Add youtube link in main store listing This issue occurs again

Problem resolved I just resubmit same thing…

The question has been updated with additional description field, so I though to update it like this:

Today I updated a couple of dials and they were refused due to unreliability in the declaration of health. It contained the same information as yours. (The My watch face app uses Android. permission. BODY_SENSORS permission to access and display data on the number of steps and heart rate)

That’s strange, I updated 27 apps with the same description and all of them passed.
What was the reject message?

Try without steps, for one of my WF’s I did not had HR data, and I was not required to fill this. I was not required for steps.

I just got one passed yesterday and I didn’t have any description in “Body sensors”, I just checked off the first option of “heath and fitness”. The watch face has heart rate and step count/goal functions.

Yipeeee. :+1:  :+1:  :+1:

The required field appears later. Go to the app, then app content and check.

Oh I see it. So you just click “other” and write in the description…

“The My watch face app uses Android. permission. BODY_SENSORS permission to access and display data on the number of steps and heart rate”

and you should be good to go?

The particular watch face has heart rate and step count/step goal

Not under OTHER, but Activity and Fitness, and then you will get the NEXT button,

And there you can write:
My watch face application uses the android.permission.BODY_SENSORS permission to access and display step count and heart rate data.

Thanks…lol it just got rejected, but not for the health declaration. this time because it wants more iterations in Play Store main store listing if it is a customizable watch face. Funny thing is though…it’s not customizable in any way. Man Google is fun!
I will try your way, make my face customizable in some way, up the pics and wait for the pass…or the fail.

rinse, repeat.

i did same but few are published and few are rejecting with same declaration. What I should do ?

how do i remove this permission from my app manifest, i don’t have any body sensor but google saying I do.

If you have added a custom complication, it may be using body sensors. Do not select the Activity and Fitness options. Instead, choose the Other option and add your explanation.

Hi all, my wf WF close to be suspended due to several attempts to fix , I think. I tried each of them in here but still rejection for the same reason.
Do you have an idea what should be fix ?
See the attached SS please.

Why did you include the “my watch face application uses the android.permission.BODY_SENSORS permission to access and display step count and heart rate data” in your main store listing’s Full description?

I do the exact same thing with the App content - Health apps that you do and all my faces but I do not include this in my full description and I have no issues. (so far)
