I have seen many watchfaces for the Watch 4 that contain the weather and the temperature, but in Watch Face Studio, I cannot find any way to put it, neither in Complications nor from the Tags. Can this information be entered from WFS?
Regards.

Watch Face Studio only includes complications that are public in order to be fully compatible over all manufacturer watches.
Not everything that was available in Wear OS has been updated to be public in Wear OS Powered by Samsung.
Until it is you add a complication and the end user then opens the customizes the complication to add the weather. The other option is to use and app shortcut that opens the weather.
I believe as Wear OS Powered by Samsung and Watch Face Studio mature there will be more public complications available.
There also are 3rd party stores that run an emulator on the watch and control that from the mobile for the weather.

Hello Samsung,
one year later and still the same lack of usable values!?
I want to use Samsung software on a Samsung Watch 5 - and no way to implement the temperature on the own watch face - that’s sad!
What matters ALL manufacturer watches? If a watch of another manufacturer doesn’t show the values correctly - so what?! Then THESE GUYS shall use 3rd party apps!!!

Michael
HI Michael,
On first blush this seems very easy to fix however, it is really extremely complicated for various reasons. However it is a highly requested feature and the team is aware of it.
Maybe you can help, here is one issue. What weather api would you have WFS and what if that isn’t installed on the watch?

Hi Ron,
at first thanks for all your replies - I’ve red your name under a lot of topics
Second, I’m sorry but I can’t handle what is a weather API and so on! I’m just a chemical engineer who likes to create his own watch face - especially with large letters for my weak eyes and the case I’m not wearing my glasses
Third I understand that several values provided on several ways. Battery charge comes from inside the watch. And the weather is provided by a wide range of weather services around the world - agree! But finally, when I swipe my Galaxy 5 to the weather tile - there is a value for temperature and lot more shown!!! THIS VALUE I like to see on my watch face. And for me that sounds simple. But only because I don’t have your skills. I’m sure if it was easy - you would have provide it in WFS. I wish you success find a quick solution.
And last: I’m afraid not being able to help you. Or I haven’t understood your request for support! Sorry, but I’m not a native speaker.
Regards from Germany

By the way: the website design looks great! Thx
API is application programming interface basically how data is shared between a system or app with a different app.
The weather channel and accuweather and other weather services have an API but you have to be licensed to use it and all are different API’s and not standardized. No business wants someone to create a weather web site using their information for free.
There is an open weather map site that was used for Galaxy Watch Studio on Tizen watches.
You can create a button with WFS that opens the Weather App. Either do it with a custom ID or use the App Chooser Action.

Can you show us a practical example or at least to mention us a link that we can add weather and temperature to our own watch face. Thanx
You can add them to your own watch with Watch Face Studio but the end user has to do it for their watch.
Use Short Text or Long Text complications, Weather complications have both Long Text has more details.
As a designer you can’t set them by default because it won’t pass Google review because (supposedly) not all Wear OS devices have weather.
