Until we had Ron as Samsung representative on this forum, we also had a very useful new topic each year about features requested to implement on new releases of WFS.
Unfortunately there is no more such good practice, and each release it misses very important features even from WFF 1. So I hope this topic will help again Developer Team to keep track on what is really missing yet after one year.
I hope we can collect more suggestions and I would like to invite everyone to write down what is missing yet.
Jolly good list. But . Complications on WFS are Free . Round end Progress Bars . Curved Text . Better Frame count on animations . You can import MP4 Videos. You chose the 3 Colours Palet for each theme . Half the Power Draw . Your Files are stored on your System . Many more I have not listed . If you want to make your own Face for your Ultra you are in the right Place . All Platforms do not have the same Facility . ENJOY.
Maybe WFS has everything you want. But I started using FACER because it gave me more options than WFS. Now that they’ve made that impossible in the Watch 7, I hope WFS eventually gets to that level too. Hence the TAG questions (which I used in Facer). And indeed WFS also has advantages over Facer.
I wish for stuff on WFS . I wish we had Sun Rise Sun Set as Tags . I wish we could have a Smooth sub second Scroll . As I often say every creative path has limitations . The Art is to get the most out of the Medium . We will be Delighted to see shots of what you make for your GW7 / Ultra .
I would like to suggest adding an IsAODMode tag to detect AOD mode and allow for dynamic element adjustments. For example:
[IsAODMode == true ? 160 : 200]
This tag would help avoid the need to duplicate layers and would enable automatic changes in the position or opacity of elements between normal and AOD modes. This would simplify customization and improve the user experience.
I am not sure whether this was suggested earlier, but I think it would allow to make faces with fade in or fade out elements, if we had tag for the time elapsed since the watch was made awake last time. It should only be updated while the display is lit and reset to 0 whenever it goes dim again.
For example like this:
This value must already exist and run somewhere on the watch in background, because it also controls the automatic screen turn off.
Have assets automatically update when their image file is updated
If the above isn’t possible, would be great to be able to select multiple layers and bulk swap out their images (for when you’re reusing the same asset multiple times and you’ve made an update to that asset)
