I have received my W6 cl watch and I am absolutely sure that as the px ratio increases, the fonts also get larger and do not fit in the areas we specified earlier. So much so that the graphic elements that we designed as 450 px lose their clarity to 480 px. The 480 px option for wfs should definitely be added.
This looks very much like an issue with the GW6 device.
I have a test face which I have compiled using WFS 1.5.7 (Beta) and run on both my GW4 classic and GW6 Classic (47mm).
The watch face displays correctly on the GW4, but on the GW6 the start of each field displayed with a non-system font is truncated, even though there is ample room to display the data.
See screenshots below. I have four fields displayed. Each field has a highlighted background corresponding to the dimensions of the component in WFS. All fields are centred.
The top two fields display text and time using the ‘sync to device’ font setting in WFS.
The lower two fields display the same data but using another font, in this case ‘Oxanium’.
The screenshots below show:
- The preview window from WFS
- A watchface screenshot from my GW4 device
- A watchface screenshot from my GW6 device.
This could be a critical issue if watchfaces purchased from Google Play have this issue on the new GW6 family of devices.
@r.liechty_SDR - Should I raise this as a bug to Samsung, or is a Google thing do you think?

Changing the fonts of the really annoying watch faces can be a solution to this problem, but this will affect the design when you can’t find a similar font.
Report this to Samsung Developer Support and they should be able to funnel it to the Wear OS team if it isn’t there error.

This. I was playing a bit with WinAscent / WinDescent and also Typo Line Gap. I was able to fix it partially.
WFS 1.3.13 handled ttf fonts better.
