Calling Not Working From Active 2 to a Mobile Number using WIFI using Twilio Web Socket SDk. Works Fine in Gear S3

Hi Samsung

I was implementing a feature to Create a Two Way Calling App using Voice apps with Twilio Client using Wifi.
I built a Tizen App through which I was able to call a Mobile Number and was able to talk two from Samsung Gear S3 to a Mobile Number.

Twilio provided a sdk through which Twilio Provides a Mobile Number on Cloud. From Our Tizen App we request the twillo number to call to Mobile Number using Web Sockets.

Now Everything was working in Samsung Gear S3. Using Wifi without connected to phone my Tizen App Was able to perform call on any number and we were able to talk seamlessly.

I recently bought Galaxy Watch Active 2 and tried the same thing but as soon as the web socket is open and ring starts on calling number. When the person on mobile pick ups the phone the TIZEN APP CRASHED. Means it is not able to transfer AUDIO TWO WAY. Its not working for me. Tried my best.

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 2 WATCHES WHICH MAKE THIS DIFFERENCE. I HAVE GIVE ALL MY BEST TRY BUT NOT ABLE TO FIGURE OUT.

Gear S3 Tizen Version - 4.0.1
Active S2 Tizen Version - 5.0.1

Please help me in this.

Also tell me whether Samsung Watch 3 will be working or not.

Samsung Watch Active2 and Samsung Watch3 both run on Tizen 5.5.

My guess (and I’m not a Tizen Developer so it is just a guess) would be that this is a matter of privacy permissions. GDRP, US privacy and other countries privacy laws call were enacted and require more permissions.

Yaa Gear S3 works on 4.0.7. Is there a way if I can downgrade Galaxy Active 2 to 4.0.7 version.

Can u help me in this.

You can’t do this legally Those devices were released after GDRP
I’d check the watch and wearable to see if there is something you can change for the app settings.

Why it has to do with legal things. It is a simple use case using web sockets. Please tell me how to achieve in Galaxy Active 2. I want to use it internally.

I just remembered Active2 came with Tizen 4 originally. Try doing a factory reset the Active2 and then don’t do any updates to Tizen 5.5.

Good Luck,

Ron

Factory Reset again makes it to 4.0.7. Please tell me some other solution.

Please can someone help me in this. Please.
