I have been getting these weird emails in my Google Play account. They seem to be warnings about policy violations in Korea and they really want my phone number?? This account gets nothing but garbage from scammers so I am not responding. I figure that if I am doing something wrong in Korea, Google would let me know like they did about my stuff in Brazil and put a freeze on my account.
Oh . Holy Shit it is Difficult enough . Hopefully the really helpful Guys on this Forum can Help you .
I can’t read Korean, but I looked at your screenshot with Google Translate on my phone and, if the translation is reliable, it does seem to imply that they want you to include your phone number on something. This may be someone over there trying to suggest you comply early with a newer policy, but I am pretty sure that Google will let you know when they decide you have to comply.
If I remember correctly from when I setup my Google account a few months ago, Google is now requiring new developers to provide contact information that will be made publicly available whether we want it to be or not. I think for now it’s only new developer accounts. This policy is the main reason I created an actual company to do this work rather than working as an individual, because I was unwilling to allow them to display my home address, phone number, and email address to the world. To me, that seems really dangerous on a personal level, and I hope they retract that policy for individuals, before anyone gets hurt.
Yes I actually finished Google’s latest mandatory account verification process that they are having all developers go through which requires an address of your business and email. I guess in some countries, they want the phone number too? Alrighty then…
I also received it and marked it as spam.
I don’t understand anything, no respect here, sending mail in local language without English bilingual.
