Certificate issue on install of Tizen

Hi Team, I have recently begun investigating Tizen and Samsung device development. I have followed all of the instructions I can find, and created an author and Developer certificate… The developer certificate appears to be the default and there is no option to set or know the password.

I cannot install application to the emulator as it gives the certificate warning “No certificate profile for permit to install was found in the workspace”

The option is to return to the Certificate manager. There is no way to associate the created certificates with the workspace. Nor create any other type of certificate.

I have tried reinstalling the complete software.

I cannot create a distributor certificate, I can only use the default and the issue remains regardless of the type of distributor certificate I select (public, platform, partner).

Without even being able to deploy to the emulator I cannot see much value in this development path way.

I have installed the certificate extension

I am using a sample app only at this stage.

IDE installed on W11.
All software updated and current

Any assistance would be appreciated

Hello,
Can you please share your device details?

Hi there, the Tizen IDE is installed on a W10 64bit OS. I am not yet trying to deploy onto anything other than the emulator.

You do not need distributor certificate for testing it in emulator.
Just create a Tizen Certificate (not samsung certificate) and then work with it.
