A DnB employee in Brazil told me that he has been receiving contacts from Brazilian developers who are having the same problem on the Samsung portal.

I’ve asked them to update my details several times, but they say there’s nothing else to be done. I think the problem lies in the way in which Samsung is importing the DUNS Number data from companies in Brazil, perhaps some standard that they were not prepared to deal with.

Here on the forum I have also seen developers from Vietnam with a similar problem in Zip Code.

What I don’t understand is that the Company House No is not even a mandatory field on the form.

I don’t know how long you’ve been trying to submit your company, but I’ve been going back and forth for many weeks with Samsung support and DnB support and I haven’t been successful. I confess that I have lost nights of sleep over this. Samsung is an important piece of my business.

The only person I see who has been really dedicated to trying to resolve this issue is Ron here on the forum. Because portal support always sends me vague answers and repeatedly asks me to do things I already did.

If you know other developers from Brazil who are having the same problem, please ask them to speak up here in the forum. Who knows if with a considerable volume of devs complaining, Samsung managers decide to look into it and try to solve the problem for real.

There are only 20 days left until the deadline and we run the risk of having our apps removed from the store.

Hey Samsung, don’t forget this fact: Brazil is one of the biggest mobile game markets in the world. Are you willing to lose the developers that are inserted in this market?

@r.liechty_SDR , does Samsung have an employee in Brazil who can help with this issue? Perhaps someone who is more familiar with the local context can help support the brazilian developers and contact the local DnB for a deeper analysis of how the data is being processed by the portal.

I just found out that the Brazil company house number issue is known and being worked on. Hopefully it is in the fix next week.

I got my DUNS number on Tuesday the 07/02. When trying to submit the form on the seller’s portal, I had a problem with the “Representative name” and “Company House No” fields. Both fields cannot be edited. Contacting support I got the same response everyone else here got. Update data with DnB. Follow the answer below

"The validation department sent a notification that they can’t verify your information through DUNS.

It is a well-known error, and primary problems appear as damaged data from DnB.

We meant to tell you to re-proceed your data in the DnB profile by updating it.

The representative’s name error is biggest data-base error, so please update your profile from DnB."

So I sent a form to update my data on DnB but I still didn’t get a response if it was updated or not. Anyway, even if the “Representative Name” is provided by DnB, I will still have problems with “Company House No” since it is a problem on the Galaxy Store side and not on DnB. Anyway, I leave my story here.

As @NoMad said, we have to make some noise if we want to be heard. So if you are also having problems, please do not hesitate to dispute Samsung.

Let’s wait for the patch mentioned by @r.liechty_SDR to actually come out and finally this headache is resolved.

I also had this issue with the “Representative’s name” at first. Probably in a few days the DnB team will correct this information for you. When I contacted them, they resolved it quickly.

About the “Company House No”, as Ron said, hopefully this will be resolved in the next portal update on the 15th.

Let’s wait. I think this time everything will be solved.

Since no one successfully submits a DUNS number from Brazil the actual team doing the work does not know it is broke until you report it to me (or developer support and we report it to the Galaxy Store Ops team and they report it to the seller portal validation team.

The Representative is probably the person that first requested the DUNS number as far as I can tell it can be a Business name not a personal name.

While the error shows up as too many characters in the Company House Number The issue is not just that. If you look for the company street that is the city. There is something that breaks the parsing algorithm.

The reason you are getting that boilerplate response is because that is what the seller Portal Customer Service was told other errors.

This will be very close to the deadline. Have you heard anything about the possible removal of apps from Brazilian developers who fail to register in time?

I think even after the issue is resolved, there will be an approval time for business account requests.

So apparently what happened is they fixed one issue so you can now submit but then it is not verified by the review team.

The seller portal is aware of the issue but I don’t know what they are planning on doing about it.

Try to submit your DUNS number again today.
If it doesn’t allow it let me know
If it lets you submit but you later get a rejection notice let me know that too

Hi @r.liechty_SDR . I was able to send my DUNS number today, the “Company House No” field was blank and not editable, but I managed to send the DUNS number anyway, it didn’t show any errors. If I find any more problems or rejections, I’ll come back here to report. Thank you and have a great day!

The Company House No was empty. The house number was in the Company Street with my Street Address.

In the City field was the name of my city + the district in parentheses.

I hopefully believe that this time everything will work out.
