Latest WatchFace Studio 1.1.9 WearOS Status and Supported devices in the catalog Problem!

Can confirm. Looks like all devices are now showing as “supported”. Will have to try with some test package

Edit: with the test package (not reviewed, internal test) it’s immediately getting “ACTIVE” + all devices supported

Maybe they are currently working on it.

Yesterday, after I once again wrote to them in the support chat, they singled out some person who decided to go through all my dials and check them again. I end up with a bunch of rejected watch faces, for really funny reasons.

I submitted a new WF today and everything is okay, as yesterday already.

I’m still having the same problem, do you think that if I will submit the binaries again it will work out? (Although Wear OS is active), or maybe I should delete the app from my account and re-create it again?

Yes we got the positive feedback from Google Play.
It will be a step-by-step improvement rather than an immediate improvement

So not a miracle cure but I think this Play console issue was fixed.

Thanks Ron. Now it looks like they partially fixed it. Watch face can now be found and downloaded through play store app on watch but mobile play store app is not showing anything, watch face cannot be found. Maybe they will fix this soon too

Anyway, looks like you managed to move things on so thank you very much for that !

Thank God Ron exists.

You must have pushed for it to happen, hope Samsung understands how much we value you, and at the same time thank you for all the help in the Tizen.NET forum in the past :blue_heart:

It seems that the situation has moved a little better, but the watch face is not displayed in the mobile app. It can be found in the watch play store, but when you try to pay and download the watch face, it throws an error - your device is not compatible.

Can you guys confirm ?

I just tried to throw in a test package. It still gets instantly wear os type “ACTIVE” with the small change that all devices are instantly “supported”. Unfortunately, the problem was not solved at all as watch face cannot be downloaded/found through phone and download through watch is giving “incompatible device” error. :frowning:

@amoledwatchfaces

Yes, I confim:

"…It can be found in the watch play store, but when you try to pay and download the watch face, it throws an error - your device is not compatible…’

Yeah same here, it says supported in Console but on Playstore issue is still same.

Can not confirm yet because the binaries are still in review since yesterday - which can be a good sign because maybe somebody is really reviewing them (before each submission was approved after 2 hours).

I can confirm too.

Looks like they have changed just the frontend of the console .

I can not search my design and direct link shows incompatible message, not payable and so on.

Edit: My product was uploaded 2 weeks ago.

This… at the first sight it was looking quite promising but now it’s even worse

I guess it will take some time to solve this issue completely.

I published a WF today. I can download the WF only via the web browser. With the PlayStore app, only the Companion App can be downloaded, the WF does not.

I’ve seen this before. If a companion app for your phone is not offered, you will see “This phone isn’t compatible with this app.” In this case, only the watch face will installs on your watch. You should be able to hit a + or something to show the watches.

Try to open the store from the Wearable app and not the Play Store App directly. Does that make any difference?

If that doesn’t try to search for it from your watch’s play store app.

If none of these work and it doesn’t show work by Monday I’ll notify the Product Manager again.

Hi Ron,

It’s not working right now. No companion app used. Currently you can find watch face also in the watch version of the Play Store (previously only through web version of Play Store).

I think if this app was free, the download would work. The problem is that when the app is paid, and you click “buy” in the watch play store, you have to complete the purchase on your mobile. So you go to your mobile, click notification to continue purchase and a message with “application is not compatible” pop up, and the whole purchase is canceled.

So after all, not much has changed, the download still only works in the web version of the play store. When the application is published, “ACTIVE” is still displayed immediately for the Wear OS release type. The move for the better (maybe?) Is that with this, all devices from the device catalogue will become “supported” at the same time. This will make the dial searchable in the watch play store.

Unfortunately, the purchase does not work, nor is it possible to download and search for the dial in the mobile version of the play store.

The change that took place was only “cosmetic”. Older watch faces published in the same way display nicely on all devices (all play store versions - web, phone, watch)

Also, multiple developers do not experience this error (instant “ACTIVE”). Only a select few like us here. As I wrote a few days ago, I created a new developer account, and this error does not occur on it - after selecting the Wear OS release type, the dial will get to the status “IN REVIEW” - this is correct.

I’ll wait until Sunday, and if nothing changes by then, I’ll write it here & update you & others.

Thank you !

Yes confirm. The WearOS status is active, the watch is supported in the catalog, however, it is not possible to install the watch face through the Google Play Store application or the browser!
