No, our apps cannot be found on Play Store. Download only works through web versionā¦, which is shitty because not many people are looking for a watch face on the web but mostly on a mobile or watch. Also, payment on the watch will not pass.
So to speak, we are cut off from revenue from newly released applications. Thanks to Google

I guess they will fix it only when Pixel Watch will release as for now they aināt taking WearOS seriously as they take Android.
Today I received a message from the google team. I checked the problematic dial, the purchase and installation was successful through the browser on the smartphone. The dial does not have a companion, to be honest Iām afraid to add it. In the coming days I will assemble a new watch face to see if I run into problems in the future. So far, it looks like theyāve solved the problem.

Ok, please try istallation from your mobile browser, or pc/laptop. And let me know what comes of it. I will write now about this to google team. They also ask what model of smartphone do you have?
It was already discussed before. Download through browser works only for GW4 devices. Same app will show as incompatible in mobile app. Download through watch version of Play Store wont work too because you will not be able to complete purchase on phone.
Edit: just try installing your watch face from play store app on mobile / watch.

ā¦ you forgot to say that any explanation with the Google service runs into a discussion with a Bot.
They donāt check any uploaded screenshots. They donāt read any explanation. It feels like to talk with a wall.

I think it will be easier to open a second account, link them, then transfer the watch faces to a new account, and delete the old one
I thought about it and tried something a few times, unfortunately it is highly probable that if you move a broken app from a broken account to a new account, you will also break that new account.

Yep. I canāt even count how many times Iāve tried to explain it to them, by email, live chat. Unsuccessfully ā¦ I recorded whole videos ā¦ explained and explained. The last answer was about a day after what @r.liechty_SDR wrote to Google and all the devices seem to be supported (cosmetic change).
They told me to see if it was fixed, to which I replied that nothing had been fixed and the problem was still present. I havenāt received an answer since then. I just asked Ron to try to contact google again.
And I believe āprogressive fixā means: we are not fixing this but we will fix it someday
Maybe Iāll be repetitive writing the same stuff but Iām shocked at how Google treats developers so badly. There are all the prerequisites for a petition / class action. Itās intolerable!
As I said before they wont do anything till they release their own watch or Samsung come and convince Google they donāt listen to the developers.

It is a scandalous thing that Google cannot solve their problems.

I wanted to ask ā¦ have you also been having problems opening working (older apps with companion apps) in the play store lately?
Opening link in Google Play is hit or miss for me. Sometimes it opens app page with the drop-down to install, sometimes not. Sometimes it shows errorā¦ If this is what potential customers are experiencing then itās even worseā¦

yes, I can confirm it. This has been happening for a few weeks already. Iām spending more time responding to negative feedback and emails to fix Google bugs than developing watch faces.
Add: if Google doesnāt want Watch Faces on their Store, please tell us clearly. I regret the good old days on the Galaxy Store.
My friend created a new account, and already on the third dial he caught the same bug! It makes no sense to pay them 25 bucks each time for a new account, this problem is already more massive than it was before!!!
I donāt understand, they canāt take the watch in their hands and start checking? They were also clearly indicated which dials are problematic, but even if they fix those dials with which the problem is, literally after 2-3 new dials you will catch the bug again!
