Hi Bro,
Are you update the new version of Tizen Studio yet?
From our side, we got an update from the B2B Partner support.
They told us that Big Sur is simply not compatible…
It will be in an upcoming patch.

Hello, we’ll open next version within this year when all the tests are complete and no problem.
Any idea when? I’m currently unable to use Tizen Studio as I upgraded to Big Sur.
Is there any update on his? We are halfway through December now and this continues to be a critical bug that’s blocking work.
Hoping for any updates - especially related to M1 Macs.
Hi All,
Tizen Studio 4.1 version has been released. This version is compatible with MacOS Big Sur. Please use the following link to download Tizen Studio 4.1 version https://developer.tizen.org/development/tizen-studio/download
Hi,
We have tested the Installation and launch of Tizen Studio 4.1 in MacOS Big Sur 11.2.1 and are able to launch successfully the IDE.
Hi I am also facing same issue,. My Mac automatically updated to OS 11 Big Sur and now Tizen Studio doesn’t even start. It was working fine beforehand but now I’m blocked from doing my job. I’ve tried everything I can think of, I’ve been through many forum threads trying various solutions but nothing has worked. Even Tizen Studio 4.0 doesn’t work. This is a critical bug that needs to have a fix pushed out asap.
You need Tizen Studio 4.1 it has the fix.

Hello there Ron,
much obliged for your reaction. I doesn’t utilize GWS, just Tizen Studio (curently creating TV + FH, GW will be added later) yet I will search for a pinfo document and furthermore give a shot to highlight an alternate java variant.
I will return after,
John Elin
Hello, I was able to run the installer, it opens the accept agreement windows, but can’t press any key or do anything with that screen. Big Sur with M1 processor, any tip? Thank you
Tizen Studio requirements are X64 Architecture and M1 is ARM.
Ron
I have a MacBook about 2017, it is based on the intel. After updating to Mac OS big Sur 11.3.1, I have the same situation. The window with the acceptance of the license and the buttons are not available.
You need Tizen Studio 4.1 for macOS Big Sur. Apple does not allow Java Runtime Environment in the latest OS. Tizen Studio has the JRE built in.
You may have to remove any old Java SDK installed for the path to be correct.

Hello,
Please open a support request if you haven’t already created on.
Here is that the support team told me to try
We can follow the below steps-
This is the command to check all java versions installed:
“/usr/libexec/java_home -V”
To check which you are using currently:
“echo $JAVA_HOME”
sudo spctl --master-disable
If we do not have extra Java installed on the MAC, then we have to try to install Tizen Studio from CLI.
Please follow the below steps to install Tizen Studio from CLI-
Download installer “web-cli_Tizen_Studio_4.1_macos-64.bin” from Index of /sdk/Installer/tizen-studio_4.1/
Make the file executable using the command in terminal
chmod a+x web-cli_Tizen_Studio_4.1_macos-64.bin
Run the installer file and follow the instructions in the terminal.
./web-cli_Tizen_Studio_4.1_macos-64.bin
After the installation is finished only Baseline tools and package-manager are installed.
You have to open package-manager.app from installed location and install any one of the profiles for e.g mobile-6.0, wearable-6.0 to launch the IDE.
Also you may be able to install Tizen Studio with CLI.
None of the above steps are not 100% confirmed, we need to test this on different machines where the problem occurred so contact support and report it if it works or doesn’t.

Hello,
I have same issue and this steps doesn’t help me.
I checked Java installed on my pc and its the only one:
Matching Java Virtual Machines (1):
1.8.291.10 (x86_64) "Oracle Corporation" - "Java" /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home
I don’t know which version using currently because followed command (“echo $JAVA_HOME” ) return
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home
And finally solution with CLI don’t similar with ide version(or I not found instructions how install device manager and other tools).
I would describe problem one more time, maybe it helps you.
My laptop is MacBook Pro 15(2019) with macOS Big Sur(11.4).
When I start Tizen Studio installation(mount web-ide_Tizen_Studio_4.1_macos-64.dmg file and open installer.app), I see initializing window and next window with Tizen Studio Licence agreement. When it started I see scrollbar for a second and next it freezing and I can’t click anything(even system close button).
I opened installer script by terminal and see this logs:
veseloffk@kirills-mbp ~ % sudo /Volumes/Tizen_Studio_4.1/installer.app/Contents/MacOS/installer
installer.jar exists
