Ok so my new watch face runs in GWS just fine. But when I push and install to my watch it loads shows up then locks up and switches to a different watch face.
Any ideas what might be causing this to happen?

Hi Ross,
What did you build the latest watch face with? If it is GWS 2.0.1 then it probably was built in Tizen 5.5 and won’t run on your watch even if it is running Tizen 5.5. I’ve never seen anyone that can run on Active2 or Watch3.
Because of the lack of AOD build I would not recommend anyone using GWS 2.0.1 for any reason.
If you built with GWS 2.0.0 or an older version of GWD then there are some reasons it won’t run.
Watchface uses too much memory (either storage space or run space) You may have to remove some older watch faces or make the watch face less complicated.
AoD is not compatible or too high I know the OPR builds at 12 or something but they often won’t run on the watch if its over 10. Or the AoD is too complicated even if OPR is OK.
Another reason is non-compatible fonts.
Images or animations I think if you have a .,png file using a .jpg extension or something like that.
Those are somethings I seem to recall their may be others.

YES it was built using the newest version.

Don’t have but 4 faces on my watch right now.

Fairly simple AoD just a picture.

All fonts loaded in the GWS fine and show up on the face but the face is locked and not running.

Only use png files.

Will uninstall and roll back to the last know working version and try that.
Thanks I’ll let you know what happens.
OK I figured it out what was causing my problem. I had made a battery percentage bar with 21 png images and once I removed it and pushed to my watch with an AoD it worked. Now I’m gonna see it if I can run it with less images for my battery bar and see if it works.
I don’t think 21 images should have done that that is not much compared to some animations. If you built it as tizen 5.5 that was most likely the cause. I’ve never been successful running that on a watch.

Yeah I thought the same thing about the images. I down graded to 2.0.0 and reworked a few things. And was able to build and run even with a AoD. Thanks for the heads up.
