You can also use tag expression like this below, without activate 12H/24H timeline:
([IS_24H]>0?[HOUR_1_24]:[HOUR_1_12]):[MIN_Z]

Awesome, thank you to confirm than conditionals work too
Sorry, I had posted this in another section, deleted from there and posted it here.
-It would be really nice to have tags for distance, floors, kcal, etcā¦ Are they not included because theyāre tied to SHealth? If tags are not feasible, then maybe some guidance about the best way to include this information on a face.
-It would be nice to still have the ability to assign a layer color to help visually group layer items, like in GWD.
-Agree with others who mentioned that the Timeline pane needs to be horizontal, full width. Itās really awkward to use like it is.
-Agree, the white background is horrible to design against.
-Is it possible to have a ārangeā setting when using an image as a HR indicator? Currently, if using an image as a dial hand, and using tags in the rotation field, thereās no way to narrow the scope of what range the dial shows. For example, I donāt want to have a HR dial that shows from 0 to 240 bpm. I want to be able to limit the sweep from 40 to 140 (which is a more realistic range for most people, and displays better on a dial). This would be like whatās offered in the āprogress barā settings.
Animation frames are too choppy and unnatural.
If you switch to Galaxy watch studio Converter, it plays normally, but
The animations newly produced by Watch Face Studio are
Itās so unnatural and disconnected.
Weāll send you a *.WFS file if you need it for a solution.
Itās such a big problem.
High-definition 3D rendered animation
In WFS, it is displayed as a low-quality frame.
This is a serious problem.
I hope that I just misunderstood, but it seems that the step goal and heart rate measurement frequency are hard preset options in the watch face file. As if watch face was an standalone app obtaining these values on its own, not synchronized with anything else that collects these information too. To me it seems like redundant use of resources, but what is more important, if the watch face is made to work with these values, then it also should allow the user to set them.
Best way would be enabling user defined tag variables.
Or there would need to be number of versions of same watch face set with different step goals times different heart rate monitor presets. What should user do, if he wants to set different step goal when his condition changes? Ask designer to sell him new watch face with new settings?
What is the point in bringing new top fitness features like SPO2, ECG or BIA and then letting the face over it to be just another shallow standalone app, not sharing any already collected basic data?
Enhancement Request:
Build times are much longer for WFS than GWS, particularly the lengthy AOD check done each time you choose to build. This slows down the debugging/testing process significantly.
Might it be possible to have the AOD check handled in the background so it does not have to run it each time we build?
Rgds,
Rob
Best way would be **enabling user defined tag variables** .
Iāve always wanted that. It may be something for the future, if they can do it for step goal they should be able to set another variable. Once I have a Watch4 I can see if the variable stays if the watch face changes or if it has to be reset.

This is how Tizen Studio Developers always have had to do it.
Health is not a public API and I donāt see it ever being that as every nation has its own health regulations.

I thing WFS will get more efficient in upcoming versions. At least in my experience most initial versions error on the side of effectivity over efficiency but I will mention the AOD times

Apart from speeding up, or perhaps letting us manually start the long-lasting āAOD checkā, another welcome improvement would be to show Build options every time āBuildā is selected (like it does in the GW), not just the first time after opening WFS.
Right now it only shows up once after starting WFS and clicking on āBuildā for the first time. Every other time only the āAOD checkā window shows, without the Build options.
In order to update the version name and version number we need to exit and restart the WFS program for the Build options to show (again only once), which is annoying and unnecessarily time-consuming when trying to update several watch faces.
Thanks!
In my opinion that is a bug
Iāve reported it.

Agreed, but for now it is possible to select multiple layers and lock/unlock them all with a single right click.
Hope that helps speed things up!
Can we get an option to turn off AOD check before every Run on Device action, please?
It takes a lot of time to wait every time for AOD check to finish before the Run on Device action is taken.
It would be great to disable it if no update to AOD was made.
Kind Regards
Adam
I requested that Build open settings for every build and that AOD only check if changes were made to the AOD since the last build.

Greetings to all my friends!
I received a lot of feedback, users who switched from GW3 to GW4 simply require that such indicators as KM, Miles, Calories burned and floors be available on the new watch. It will be great if such an opportunity appears in the next version, based on the comments above, I see that many people miss these indicators, wear OS users will only be happy!
P.S. Also, many users write that they have problems with displaying the heart rate, the indicator shows a zero value. This error is observed among all colleagues of developers (designers).
Best wishes!

These were available because the GWS team had access to the private API for Samsung Health. Since the new Unified WearOS is for all manufacturers that is not available. See this thread where App Shortcut is used to see if the end user can set those items manually.

WFS app shortcut complications is a very useful feature for the users. Instead of designers dictate what app shortcuts to use, it gives users the freedom to pick that works for them. The complication puts original icon of chosen app on the button.
Material design styled app icons are colorful, but they donāt work well on none-Material themed watch face. For example, a photo-realistic watch face with material app icon would look like someone put a sticker on a watch face, doesnāt fit in right.
Feature request:
Feature request >
Preserve changes of āTAP TO CHANGE IMAGEā functionality.
Currently, same as on GWD, image picked by TAP TO CHANGE is not saved and after switching watch faces or restarting the watch, the watch face is resetted to the original settings (default image). If the watch face contains lets say three tap to change images with 10+ optional images, user will have to tap through all images again just because setting is not saved somewhere in watch face cache file.
It would be a huge benefit if we got this functionality after a long time.
From the Galaxy Watch Studio for Tizen under animations it states you can change the length of time a frame displays for. I tested it on that version of software and it doesnāt seem to be there. Not sure if it was removed or whether Iām just not seeing the option. Iād like to see this ability added to WFS.
