Not able to connect My Galaxy watch to galaxy watch studio

yeah, I’ve got the socket enable and the bluetooth enable but on my computer there is only the phone and not the watch.
no, I have the first galaxy watch with tizen 4.0.0.7

In the project menu click on distributor certificate and see if that allows you to create a distributor certificate that is probably why it isn’t showing.

i already create one

If you click on the phone in the run on device window does it show the watch?

Ron

no, i tried a million times

when i click a first time on the phone in the run on device, my phone make the link with the watch, sdboverbt show : bluetooth enable and when i click for a second time on the phone in the run on device, sbdoverbt show: socket enable. but there is no watch in run on device. And if i click more times on the phone in the run on device, nothing more.

HI Martin,

For some reason my response two weeks ago never showed up. Are you still having this issue. If so it is you never accepted the RSA Encryption key,

hey Ron,
Yeah, I couldn’t figure it out. Is the “RSA Encryption key” the message that appears on the watch when trying to connect to it? if so, I accepted it.

Yes the RSA Encryption key is the message that first starts.
There is one question I never asked. On your phone did you enable developer options and allow USB Debugging. That would stop GWS from connecting to the watch.

What mobile device do you have? Some models open for media transfer only and you need to change to data transfer. That differs in various mobiles.

You’ve asked me these questions before. I have an S20 +. Developer mode is enabled as well as usb debugging and it’s connected in file sharing

HI Martin,

Yep, I tried it and had similar problems that you see. I had to re- pair my watch to my phone. It might be because I have several test watches paired to the phone but it may be an update or something.

Anyway try deleting the watch and adding it back Be sure to back everything up when you do as it may reset the watch. When I did that it forced the RSA encryption key again and I was able to connect and push a watch face to my watch.

I tried it again but it didn’t change anything (I had reset the watch and reconnected to my phone)

You should have gotten the RSA encryption key this time. If you didn’t get that let me know. I think I got it when I plugged into SDBoverBT not the GWS but I can redo it and let you know tomorrow

Ron

I just tried again and gws is showing my watch now. But when i try to put a dial on it it tells me that my watch is not registered and i have to request a distribute certificate. I created but it does not work.

Thanks a lot for your help Ron

HI Martin,

This is a bug that just started Thursday and You seem to be set this is affecting everyone. You should have any problems connecting in the future. But you probably will have to create a new distributor certificate at some once they trace the problem.

Ron

Ok, thanks a lot for your patience and for all the help you have given to me.

I had no problems before using a wired PC and a wireless watch. I have a spare WIFI USB modem here, and got the PC running on WIFI, and unplugged the ethernet cable. The WIFI APs were limited to just the 2.4 band. The PC was rebooted, as was the watch.
I uninstalled Tizen Sudio, and reinstalled it, as before the Studio itself would not load, nor the Certificate Manager. Now they both do. The Device Manager still won’t tag the watch, and shows the same 3 reasons, and the GWS still shows the same “Connecting to 192.168”.

Hi all,

I wanted to add, in order to accept RSA signature in the watch you must use Tomcat watch face from samsung and not a custum one
Hope this is helpful!

For some reason you are not accepting the RSA Encryption key. Usually Tizen Studio Device manager version of SDB is more patient and give a longer time to accept. As bassoudilus said some people have reported it stays on longer when you have a preinstalled watch.

So check list
Make sure you don’t have any firewalls on.
Reboot watch by holding down the power key for about 15 seconds until it says rebooting
restart (don’t just turn off and on) computer to clear caches
Wait one full minute (don’t cheat)
Developer Options On
Debugging On
WiFi always on
get the IP address and write it down
In device manager enter the IP address
try to connect and watch the watch carefully accept the RSA Encryption key.
If it doesn’t show wait a few minutes and come and check watch and device manager

For some reason Tizen studio takes a few minutes

Hopefully it works then.
